- the trails are graded similar to ski runs. Consisting of easy wide open forest roads, to technical single tracks, making them suitable for riders of all abilities including families and beginners, to experienced offroad cyclists and elite riders. Dalbeattie also has a skills loop, raised board walks and the legendary SLAB, a nerve-testing sheer face of granite. Also home to the annual Hardrock Challenge, Dalbeattie's 25km red route is arguably the toughest and most technical in the UK.
